{"id":6,"date":"2011-06-30T20:01:19","date_gmt":"2011-07-01T00:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.27dayswithbillywilderandme.com\/?page_id=6"},"modified":"2021-02-04T10:54:36","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T15:54:36","slug":"a-year-in-life","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.27dayswithbillywilderandme.com\/?page_id=6","title":{"rendered":"A Year In Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From June, 2009, through June, 2010, I absorbed as much of the world&#8217;s most celebrated accomplishments as I could:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.70DaysWithHemingwayAndMe.com\">70 Days With Hemingway And Me<\/a>, in which I read every one of Hemingway&#8217;s novels, from first to last,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.81DaysWithOscarAndMe.com\">81 Days With Oscar And Me<\/a>, in which I watched every Oscar-winning movie from <i>Wings<\/i> in 1927 through <i>Slumdog Millionaire<\/i> in 2009,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.30DaysWithAristotleAndMe.com\">30 Days With Aristotle And Me<\/a>, in which I studied Aristotle&#8217;s classic work for writers, <i>Poetics<\/i>, and<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.180DaysWithMozartAndMe.com\">180 Days With Mozart And Me<\/a>, in which I listened to everything Mozart composed.<\/p>\n<p>I took a year off &#8212; because that truly was a grueling schedule &#8212; and am now ready to face another year of self-imposed learning. This is my curriculum for 2011-2012:<\/p>\n<p><b>June 30 &#8211; July 26<\/b>:  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.27DaysWithBillyWilderAndMe.com\">27 Days With Billy Wilder And Me<\/a>, in which I watch every movie Billy Wilder directed.<\/p>\n<p><b>July 28 &#8211; December 30<\/b>:  155 Days With Bach And Me, in which I listen to every piece of music Bach composed.
